Each autumn the “Classics boats” come together in the south of France, in Monaco, Cannes and St Tropez. Always smart, the lords of yachting deploy their innumerable petals swelling by the breeze and challenge each other in a show out of time, suspended forever in the golden age of yachting...

But the Regatta is only a pretext for the passionate, who meet there every year motivated by a passion for beautiful wooden ships and yachting tradition. The pleasure comes before the competition. As explained by HSH Prince Albert II, President of the Yacht Club de Monaco, "The Yachting, and especially the tradition yachting, is a family, with its codes and stories. Each gathering is a great party, each absence is noticed with emotion, each newcomer is welcomed with pleasure”. This party brings together dozens of classic yachts, sailing and motor, lovingly maintained. Among the yachts, some honourable centenarians have escaped the tidal flats thanks to wealthy owners in love with these legends of another age, who patiently restored them bringing back to life the works of a few of talented architects whose thousands of drawings dominated ship design from the late 19th to early 20th century: the Scottish William Fife, the American Herreshoff, or the British designer Charles Nicholson. These gatherings are in the respect for etiquette and values of the club "La Belle Classe” created in 2005, are aim to stage, and honour this precious marine heritage. The traditional regatta on the water, the "tests of regularity" and the Concours d'Elegance are part of these gatherings. Then the festivities continue on the quays...
